Here's the thing, it's important to understand that when someone struggles with addiction, it almost always has to do with them self-medicating some pain they have in their life. We all have trauma that causes pain. Some of that is personal, some of it is generational, and there are countless other reasons. The important thing is to treat it with compassion when you see it in other people, and when you see it in yourself.

Lots of love.
